I had an EZ Pass that quit at 10 years. It was a Sunday and I was going through numerous toll booths that flashed “Call EZ Pass”. Of course they were closed, so after about $50
in tolls, I started to get a little worried. I called customer service the next day and they let me settle my account without penalty. When I told her how old was my transponder she laughed and said that they quit between 7-10 years. So if you’ve gotten 12 years out of yours, rock on and may the force be with you.

Our EZ Pass did not work for us on Florida toll roads during our mid May 2021 visit to The Villages.

Thank you! I've had EZ Pass for probably 15 years through NJ (although I never lived there!) Although I don't remember 100%, I don't believe they ever charged me for my transponder. Their service fee is $1.00 per month. When my original transponder got old, they sent a new one at no charge, and it is accepted everywhere I travel (so far) which includes PA, MI, IL, OH, NY, NJ and WV (where I live), and all through New England. I just traveled to The Villages last week and my EZ Pass worked wherever I needed to pay tolls. Also, they email my statements, their site is super easy to use to update the car, my credit card, or home address. I don't want to change from my NJ EzPass!!! I'm so happy to know I won't need to get a whole new toll payment system to live in FL!

I drove to MCO last week on the Turnpike and used my I-Pass from Illinois and it worked just fine

Default Uni pass

It seems that uni pass is the latest transponder for FL and 18 states.
