Sympathies to the family of the deceased as well as the driver who, no doubt, must be distraught over this terrible accident.

In a community with 80,000 residents and 50,000 golf carts, accidents will happen. Many could be preventable or avoidable. The facts for this accident are not fully known (street legal or not, seat belts in use, etc) so much of what is written here is speculation.

RIP Mr Tillman

Default Tragic...

I still cannot understand that golf carts are sold without seat belts--and I'm not talking about street legal carts which, as said by another poster on this thread, make no sense to me. I tried (that is, resulting in a blank look) to impress on a young visitor the need to use seat belts in a golf cart, and sure enough, a short while later we passed a golf cart accident on Morse Blvd. North where the driver of the cart was on the ground with his cart on top of him! Good sense calls for installing seat belts, which is relatively inexpensive to do, especially in light of the news of these accidents!

What about motorcycles and scooters, are they idiots too?

Why a 6,000 lb. deisel truck? Just curious.
I don't know where you see an attitude... I'm saying anyone cutting me off in a 6000 pound diesel truck in a golf cart is an idiot. Why diesel I tow a 17,000 pound 5th wheel travel trailer.

Wow, that's a nice trailer. I always thought of getting one but would prefer a Class A I think. Did you ever own a Class A? Which do you like better?
