You do know Citizens Bank is owned by The Villages.

When I was at your stage I asked the same question...are you competitive...they said yes. Turned out they were 1.5 % higher than I could get in my home state. I asked if they would meet the rate and said they could not. I advised I was going with my home bank. They reminded me Citizen's writes 80% of the mortgages for The Villages and knows how to handle everything. I thanked them and advised ...so does my bank. The Villages title company even was pushing for me to do "local" financing and didn't want to have any problems with banks that were unfamiliar with their system. I put them in contact with my bank and asked them to be sure to review all their needs. The closing was flawless.

Go get the best deal you can....where you can!!!!

Bestmickey, yes we had an independent inspector on new construction before we closed and he was great. All was fixed by the time we got there. If you need his name and number pm and I'll give it to you. We're having him again before our year warranty is up. :bigthumbsup:
