Cats kill up to 3.7B birds annually
If the cat is feral, they will kill a bird to eat. If the cat is owned by someone and they kill a bird for what seems to be for the sport of it, shame on the owner who lets their cat out. Your anti-cat comment should be aimed at those who toss(ed) their pet out as though it was a piece of trash. That's how it got out of control.

Up here in yankee land we add one more thing to trap, spay and release.
One of the ears have a small notch taken out of them.
This is done by the vet when they are under being spayed.
You can spot them from a distance.
That why they are not trapped a 2nd time.

Default I sure hope they do not eradicate our lost pets!

I am so sorry .. and hopefully they do NOT have an eradication program. Your cat is beautiful and surely someone will return her to you.

My friend was babysitting our cat over the holidays and she lives in Legacy Villas near Nancy Lopez. I asked the CDD to put a picture of her in the postal bulletin board in that area. If you hear of any calls about a dark cat (my cat is a tortie), please call me and if I hear anything about your beauty, I will do the same!! Regards, Karen Setz

Hi Poetrosie, I am so glad you too care about these cats. I have an appointment to have the two kittens neutered soon. My original plan was to release them after they were neutered but I recently saw a beautiful yellow kitten killed in the road, so I'm going to give it a try to tame them and give them a chance at a happy life as my two pampered siamese cats have. My husband said possibly we can keep one. Momma cat will be trapped, neutered and released and I will continue to feed her. Good luck with your "family".

Do not release a cat into nature. It is cruel for the cat. The lifespan of a feral cat is only a few years as compared to 15 or so with a domestic cat.
