Default Good and the Bad of Comcast

We called Comcast to get the landline telephone and Internet reconnected after vacation mode. Good thing was that we were able to get an appointment for the next day between 1 to 3. The following day we waited but no one came so we called around 3:15. It took a while to get to a live person. She checked our schedule and told us some one cancelled our appointment at 1:05 and in further checking she told me that she doesn't know who cancelled or why. When I told her it was unacceptable, she agreed and apologized. That she will check with the supervisor. I was amazed that there was an apology. It took a while but we were rescheduled for the following morning between 8 and 9. Indeed next morning a pleasant support person came and reconnected everything. One thing to watch for is that automatic phone will ask you to confirm by pushing 1; however, that's not enough. It seems you have to confirm every time they call you. They called us three times and each time we reconfirmed. In the morning around 7 am, automatic phone rang again and this time it was push 1 to cancel and 2 to confirm.

Wondering why a visit was required to do this? Should have been a non premise visit required service? The purpose of vacation mode is that everything remains connected to the premise.

Our Comcast service was on vacation mode for three months. I forgot to call them to reinstate service until this morning when we were on the road heading down. I called at 10AM...when we arrived in TV all I had to do was plug in the cable box and modem and everything worked fine. A visit to the house by a technician wasn't necessary.

Help! I'm having a terrible time finding someone at Comcast who can help me with the turn on date on our "Seasonal Convenience Plan." I've called, gone online and all to no avail.

Further complicating this is the fact that we have 2 comcast accts--one in PA and one in FL. They don't seem to be linked in any way.

Some time ago on this forum a helpful Comcast person's name and contact info was listed. I've run a search and can't find it.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

They have a walk in customer service center in Leesburg on Hwy 441. It is on the left just before Babett's Furniture. It faces a smaller side road that connects to 441 right close to Babett's but you can easily see their vehicles and the buildings from 441.

Thanks, all. I think my issue has been resolved. TOTV is a great resource.
