Picking out things was a great adventure. We did ours in about 3 days as well. What's nice about it is, if you are picking out tile for instance, they take you to a house with that tile intalled (they don't just show you a piece of tile). Same for the interior paint, the kitchen layouts, cabinets, etc.

We will be meeting with the design center end of May to build our home in Sanibel. I've been told it's a very frustrating and overwhelming experience. Was that so for you? What is the timeframe they gave you for your closing? Just curious to when we should expect closing if we are meeting end of May... Also, any advice or tips on our visit with the design center would be greatly appreciated... I will be sure to tell them to point out the $6,000 door so I stay clear of that! It is such a pleasure to read through a thread like this - happy and excited people who are enjoying everything about their move to The Villages. No matter what you have read, or heard, this is an incredible place to live. I am sitting here looking out over Glenview Golf Course, watching the sun clear away the early morning mist and listening to the birds. It does not get much better than this.

I still drive through The Villages and feel a sense of awe come over me at being able to live in such beautiful surroundings.
