Default Film festivals in the Villages.

This may be of interest to fellow movie buffs 8) in TV. The Old Mill Playhouse http://580wdbo.com/cgi-bin/movies.cg...g=The+Villages has had two film festivals-- that I knew about anyway-- while I have lived in the Villages. http://firstofmay.com/screenings.html. One of these was of older movies like Pygmalion (1938) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0030637/ , the other was of movies like the First of May http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0132160/.

Hope they get other film festivals at the theaters in the Villages.

On a topic related to movies, check out the web-site The Numbers. http://www.the-numbers.com/. It has a fun contest about every week on predicting the weekend or other box office draw of a selected movie. Nice way to pass the time if you are a movie buff and into things like numbers. A Villager actually won one of these predictions. http://www.the-numbers.com/interacti...hp?newsID=2700.

You can check out what the movies in various film festivals-- like the ones in the Villages-- are like through various web-sites which cover movie reviews. Some of these are:

Movie Review Query Engine-- http://www.mrqe.com/

Rotten Tomatoes-- http://www.rottentomatoes.com/

The Internet Movie Database-- http://www.imdb.com/

Checked links December 30, 2007.
