Default Finally

We closed on our new (to us) home today. Like many of you, my wife and I have dreamed about this for a long time. If you drive by our house on Figueroa, blow your horn. If you drive by tomorrow July 20th) after 1pm, stop and come in and help us move all that heavy furniture. There should be a Budget truck in the driveway. If it's not there, you're too late.

Default Street to avoid

I know there are several who would help if needed. I wasn't serious, though. We have several from church helping out. Any more and we would be running into one another.

Just in case, though, avoid Figueroa and your conscience will remain clear.

Good for you. I wish you every good thing. I hope your home is filled with friends and good times and that the two of you have peace, health and happiness.

I too would be glad to help but I am off the reservation.

Welcome IandWK. Usually 3rd Friday of the month. Hope to catch y'all there in Aug. If we get the Big Yellow Penske unloaded by then. KathieI usually sticks a notice in non-villages discussion forum.

I am thrilled for the two of you. It has taken a lot of planning to be where you are

Enjoy this new wonderful experience.

See you in October when we move here as well.

I appreciate the thought. If you saw us working, you saw that there were so many people helping we were running into one another. You could have gotten a free bottle of water and a cookie had you stopped, though.

We really appreciate all the folks from church taking the time to help us. It would have taken the wife and me 2 or three days to do it alone. We loaded a 26 ft UHaul alone when we left Georgia. Saved a lot of money, but it was certainly a lot of hard work.

I plan to rest up for the next 20-30 years, assuming I live that long.
