Smile Fireworks Questions !!

In Florida, is it illegal to set off those huge aerial display type of fireworks in a private setting??

Last evening, I could hear this type of fireworks sounding for three hours.. Where was this being done ?? Who was doing the firing ???

I like displays and would love to watch those being set off near the Villages.

It's possible we were hearing the fireworks from Leesburg. An FYI, Wildwood had a festival and decent display of fireworks July 3rd near the community center on Powell Road. That might be something to attend next year.

I believe that all fireworks that expel their contents are illegal in Florida, unless (get this) you are using these to get rid of birds.... I saw this on the news a couple of days ago, go figure.....

Be thankful that the Florida has rules about fireworks. I am up north, new law passed 3 years ago that allows most classes of fireworks can be used by anyone, any day of the year. Until 2018 there were no time restrictions on using them. Now it’s midnight.

So up until 3:05am multiple people shot of fireworks, cause you can’t catch them in the dark. I felt so bad for those who had to go to work this morning, with little or no sleep, one of them being my other half who gets up at 4am. Sadly this will be ongoing for most weeks of the entire year. We no long care about seeing firework display, it’s a year round issue now.

I have no problem with professional fireworks on July 4th. Leesburg has a very nice fireworks display. No professional fireworks display in The Villages but many of the surrounding towns/cities do have some nice professional displays. My home State (Illinois) outlawed individual fireworks several years ago but there are many terrific professional displays every Independence Day.

Every fourth of July I always wish I had a few ground burst simulators for some genuine shock and awe!

As young kids, my wife and I both grew up in London during the WW2 Blitz. Bangs from fireworks do not disturb our sleep!

If they were setting off huge aerial display fireworks for 3 hours they spent a ton of money doing so. I doubt very much that they were set off by individuals.
