This conversation seems to go around every year. First for New Years then for July 4th. Maybe Google it to find out where and when. The Villages doesn't "do" fireworks...though maybe some neighborhood people set off a few. I think Leesburg might...Disney for sure does them every night.

I remember reading about some fireworks at Sumter Landing one year. Didn't they get arrested?

When I was a kid, I used to love to play with those little 1-1/2 inch firecrackers. Today, I guess they are totally extinct.

Mount Dora had fireworks on NYE at midnight. On the 4th of July usually Leesburg and Wildwood has fireworks. I can hear them and if I go outside I can see the Wildwood fireworks on the 4th, I'm near Sterling Hgts Rec Center on St. Charles. Those who live in Collier probably have a front row view. NYE I didn't hear and see any, so must be just on the 4th. From online newspaper Villages News here's last 4th of July schedule.

Wildwood
Date: July 3
Time: 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Fireworks, inflatables, face painter, henna tattoos, food and dessert vendors and the JoJo Jones Band at the Wildwood Soccer Fields on Powell Road.

Tavares
Date: July 4
Time: 4–11 p.m.
Location: Wooten Park, 100 E Ruby St., Tavares
The City of Tavares is hosting a “4th of July Celebration” in downtown Tavares. Begin the day at Wooten Park, and the Patriotic Parade begins at 5 p.m. on Main Street. Before the parade starts, city staff will pass out American flags to the first 1,000 guests! After the parade, festivities will include a live band, crafts and vendors. The fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m.

Eustis
Date: July 5
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Ferran Park
The City of Eustis will host its annual Independence Day Hometown Celebration in Ferran Park. Come on down for live entertainment, food and games for the whole family. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. with a finale of fireworks over Lake Eustis.

Leesburg
Date: July 4
Time: 6–10:30 p.m.
Location: Venetian Gardens
The City of Leesburg is hosting a massive 4th of July Celebration at Venetian Gardens. The celebration kicks off with live entertainment at 6 p.m. on the Jenkins Auto Group Stage with Nathan Leslie followed by a concert at 7 p.m. by The Wildflowers, America’s best Tom Petty tribute band! The fireworks will start at 9:15 p.m. from Venetian Cove or catch the display from the boat tailgate party, located between Monkey Island and the boat ramp. Families can enjoy free ice cream, a water ski show, bounce houses, inflatable slides and a photo booth!

Mount Dora
Independence Day Parade
Date: July 4
Time: 10 a.m.
