I've encountered two vehicles on the multi-modal path the first one drove me and two other carts off onto the grass because he was coming straight at me in the wee hours of the morning (just before sunrise).
I might suggest that one reason this may happen is that a driver may be so accustom to traveling the multi-modal paths by cart that when s/he is driving a car they simply forget which vehicle their driving. The guy who came directly at me with headlights on was apparently a visitor and staying at the Waterfront I know because when he exited at the Bridgeport gate he headed down Old Mill road and passed me again at a high rate of speed and into the Waterfront parking lot. I wouldn't want to pre-judge but he acted drunk, a second cause |
