Please let us all know how your sales are going. It is always wonderful to hear of someone's happiness when they finally sell and start the next path of their journey.

talking about the first offer. We had our house on the market for $419,000 and got an offer of $369,900 we were appauled. But - lowered the price to $389,900 and had nothing -maybe if we had taken the $369,900 and negotiated we'd be in TV by now - instead we have taken the house off the market for the winter and will try again in the Spring!

This has got to be the worst time in YEARS to sell a house. Have not given up on the villages.

The old saying - everything happens for a reason -maybe we were meant to stay in NewEngland for a couple of more months.

At least the house is immaculate, no clutter.

Great that you got an offer. We can only hope. New agent coming out tomorrow to take pics of ours. NO we're not going with what TV relocation service advised. Did that once. Our home will remain on the market till sold. Can't tell if someone may have to relocate due to job transfer.

Default Under Contract

We had to come down $10,000.00. But, we got them to say, (We accept). The offer come sex months to the day. The Realtor even lowed her commission to make the deal. We have a closing date of December 12, 2008. St. Joesph did his job, The Realtor did her job, and all Gods children are happy.

If you only had to come down $10K from your asking price, it sounds like you got a great deal. Did you have to lower your asking price during the 6 months that you were on the market?

Congratulations!

Smile Have a contract!

Excited, nervous & scared!

Received an offer within 2 weeks on the market.
Thanks to lawyers and it being a "buyer's market" it took another 5 weeks to get a contract signed.
Accepted a price which is 95% of the listing price. We grabbed it as the buyers have a 75% down payment so are not looking for a big mortgage.
The closing in scheduled for January 30, 2009.

Have a lifestyle preview scheduled next month and if all goes according to plan we'll be Villagers next year.

Default Happy for Year

That's so great! You will love the Villages - you may not want to leave when your Lifestyle preview is finished.

Francesgo, Congrats! Just wondering what "sex months" are? Not having my home on the market yet is this something I need to plan on? Sounds like fun and I don't think I would mind waiting!

Becky

( sorry- I couldn't resist!)

GG posting in the middle of the night? No wonder you have sex months on your mind.

At 4 AM, there are 3 members and 15 Google Spiders online. Ewwww.
