Default power

My electricity has just blipped off and back on three times. Annoying to reset clocks and wait for cable to reset repeatedly. Any clues what this is about?

In the last half hour, we have experienced -- best I've counted now, including the outage 15 seconds ago -- 12 interruptions to our service, shutting off everything electrical in our house.

Our computers are connected to battery back-up, so they are staying up.

We are in the Village of Pinellas at Evans Prairie, just south of 466A, west of Buena Vista. Our friends just north of 466A and about a half mile to the east of us are NOT experiencing any outages.

We have been on hold with SECO for more than 10 minutes, getting apologies for the delay... we had to call their customer service number in Citrus County to get through... Sumter and other closer county numbers ring busy.

Great service...

Here in 206 as well. Trying to cook dinner as I have guests coming over tonight.

Called Seco and they apologized for the outage and said they were working on it.

Oh well, other wise I had an awesome day!

If power goes out and you still can use your computer, go to SECO's outage map page. Currently 6 Sumter County members are without power.

SECO Storm Center

You can report an outage online as well as calling.

We are still having the same problem in Gilchrist 214, and YES, we did pay our bill.

Exclamation

SECO is aware, no idea what issue is. Getting warm inside now. Almost 20 drops so far.

Could be an all nighter?

Default With all of the building all around.......

This happens in new areas....here, just guessing as they hook up more new grids(??). Generally it happened at night in our area when we lived there a few months.

Someone said at that time it was "unacceptable". I just shook my head.

Probably you will not get a definitive answer as to why.

Just keep in mind that it is an annoyance, not a disaster.

And it will pass. Not a brownout. A new area Pain in the neck.

or lower.

Pooh posted a grid map of outages and it isn't just affecting Sumter. Lake and Marion are experiencing problems as well. If I am reading that map correctly, over 185,000 people are affected.

I don't think I am reading the map correctly. I think total population for that area is 185,000. Anyone able to figure it out?
