Default foolish question for Lantana owners

To owners of the Lantana Model,

I feel a little silly asking this question - but - since there isn't any space for a trash can in the Lantana kitchen, where do you put the trash can?

Small waste basket on a pull out drawer under the sink.

Same as Cathy ---- Under the sink. You can purchase at Lowes or Home Depot. Good luck

Lady Jan, not a foolish question. I found most of the models lacked a place for trash. I have also put it under the sink, didn't think of the sliding shelf. Plan to install one asap. Thanks.

We bought a small wire rack that holds the plastic bags you get at Publix et al, fits under sink and is a great way to use up those plastic bags.

I agree. Under the sink is the only way to go.

There are very few stupid questions. I bet somewhere out there someone was wondering the same thing.

I have another Question for Lantana owners......How did you do the side room off of the laundry room?? Did you put simply shelves in for more pantry space or where you able to make some desk space??

Lady Jan,

We went for the more practical (and less aesthetic) solution....a tall, battery operated trashcan in the breakfast nook, nestled up against the wall for the pantry. It holds a full size 13 gal bag, has a sealed top (so no odors), and only has to be emptied twice a week. The battery operated is the kind you wave your hand over the top and the lid pops up. Makes for a conversation piece.

Utility room....put a standing 4 drawer file cabinet in there for papers, shelves along the long wall, 3 ft cabinets under the shelves, and more shelves above the sink. We use the front bedroom as a dual office, middle bedroom as guest room.

To each his own....
