My condolences about your friend, John. He sounds like a good guy and one that The Lord wanted to have by his side.

I'm saddened to hear of the loss of your friend. Even though my health issues have reduced my mobility, I am still happy to be in TV. I can understand how much he must have wanted to be here.

Virtual Geezer was also my TOTV friend.
Very sad news, especially since his dream to move to The Villages didn't come true. Bet his spirit is visiting right now........... ""Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time.... It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other."" By Leo Buscaglia ""Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."" ~Unknown Author~ |

Prayers are powerful, but sometimes God has a different plan for us.
Rest in peace, Virtual Geezer.

And thanks for those posters who responded throughout John's illness and death with prayers, understanding, and compassion.
Villageshooters, Carl, and Barefoot, you have provided three different perspectives on life, illness, and death. It's a lot to ponder.

So many of you sent him well wishes on this forum, and many sent cards and gifts over and over and I know it made his days easier. John got to spend a long visit, several months, on his last trip here. He had dreamed to live here. He was full of hope and fought this disease until the end. We should all honor his memory by living here in this beautiful place and finding the joy that he dreamed about. He was a good person, never marrying, watching out for his mom until her death and he was an absolute genius with computers. He was an Ohio guy and a talker and a people person, quick to smile and to find laughter. Rest in Peace, Friend. I echo Cyndy's gratitude to all who sent him good wishes on this forum and to all who will remember him kindly.
