I suspect that as the price of gasoline continues upward, there will be more trains being used for freight in lieu of truck transport. Can't base this on anything other than common sense and that we think that, generally speaking, we're already seeing less truck traffic....

Do I sense a little NIMBY in some of these posts???

Shame on those guilty (if any).

The more mass transit the better.....the closer to TV the better....time for the one driver...one car mentality and the NIMBY mentality to get in the back seat.

Energy independence where ever it can be employed!!!!

Bring it on. It will most likely never happen as it is one of those political footballs and the silent majority known as constituency certainly isn't going to do anything constructive about it!!!

Are you clear on the fact that it will not be the mass transit trains coming through here, it will be freight trains. The mass transit trains will run from Jacksonsville to Orlando. All 54 of the daily freight trains will now run through here, if this is approved.
