Default Garage Door Opener not working

Has anyone ever experienced this and knows an easy fix so that I don't have to call Romac?

I came home lest night and the opener that I keep in the golf cart didn't work. It worked fine this morning however. Later on, I took the car out and the door would close using the HomeLink in the car.

Later when I took the cart out again it worked but the last time I took it out it didn't. I check out the opener in the wife's car and that one didn't work either.

So not, none of the three work. The door still function with the wall control.

Because all three remotes are not working I have to assume that it's something in the receiver.

Any suggestions before I spend money on a house call?

And after the new batteries pair the remotes with opener.

Has the wire that hangs loose on the motor casing been disturbed? Try moving it around into a different position. It is the receiver antenna that transmits the signal to the remotes. But, definitely replace the batteries.

Check that you did not hit the lock button on your wall opener

I have had this happen and found that LED bulbs in the opener or the garage will effect the frequency of the opener.

I had exactly the same problem . Have u installed any led lighting recently in the garage ? I bought the garage light which I plug into an outlet and I love the light it gives me in the garage.
Then I had the same problems u describe ! I went on YouTube and sure enough I found a video
explaining how the use of led bulbs near the garage door opener can created these problems. I moved the light to another outlet and the problem disappeared !! Good Luck

I don’t think it is the batteries because of all three not working. It is probably the alignment of the sensors that won’t allow the door to close or open if something is in the way. I have sometimes, maybe three in nine years, had to make sure the sending unit for the opener, it is on the floor at each end of the door, points at the receiving unit. Just bend it a little until it works. It is not hard to do and you don’t need to pay anyone.

I’m sure you have changed the battery in the remote. Now, if the door didn’t shut at all—not your case—one thing to check would be that there isn’t something blocking The electric eye at the bottom of the door on each side. I’ve had them blocked with leaves, or a box someone had slid over. I’ve also had people bump the electric eye walking past so that it doesn’t reflect off the other side. Straightening it did the trick. But for your case, it’s puzzling.

Can you open the door with the code, from the box outside the garage? If not, I would try to re-pair the remotes. If you cannot get it to pair, my guess is that the receiver is bad.

Default I had same problem. Called Romac.

Simple fix: Go to opener on the garage wall, put paper clip in tiny hole, light comes on, (repeat this until light stays on, if light goes off at first), press the button on the hand-held opener and light will go off. Bada bing, you're done.

I once had a similar problem. Romax came out and eventually found I had left an unused wireless doorbell sitting on a bench near the opener. I removed the batteries and my problem went away.

So, the moral of the story is to not have any RF devices in the garage.
