Default Garage Window Tinting

Can anyone recommend a reputable company to tint my garage windows to reduce the heat gain through them? My garage faces west.

I tried that a few years back and was told it could not be done. Said the windows are plastic and the film will not hold. Maybe things have changed but not sure.

My windows are GLASS, I know as I took one out. You can go to Lowes, Home Depot, probably Ace, and by window tinting film and do it yourself and save a bundle. If your garage door is NOT insulated, you will get a lot of heat reduction by adding insulation. I believe the above stores also sell DIY kits for doing this.

I put cardboard behind them and it really reduces the heat. Initially, I added two layers of window tint in addition to the Manufacturer's tint and it was not as good as the cardboard. You can't see the cardboard because of the original tint. Also in the winter you can remove them to let the heat in.
