I see that the garbage rules say that we may put out an office chair or a dining chair, but I have a set of patio chairs would certainly are small enough to be eligible, but can I put out all four at once or only one at a time?

Put out all four the day BEFORE your trash is picked up. There are people who cruise Villages on days before pickup looking for just that type of thing; sort of a cottage industry.

The home in Lake county on Waste Management would take anything I put out within reason. Piles of furnature...as long as they could get it in the truck they took it. I left four plastic patio "PVC" chairs out in my Sumter home and Jacobs wouldn't take it. There's a saying "The solution to pollution is dilution". A few minutes with the sawszall and a plastic bag...they took it the next time. I'm in the habit of just cutting up anything larger and stuffing it in a contractor bag then they will take it. There's a weight limit of like 40lbs, so multiple bags are required on occasions. |

I ended up loading my junk into a friend's truck and hauling it to the dump down off Moyer's loop. A neighbor called for pickup and left for the season. It sat there about 5 weeks before it finally disappeared. I'm not sure if Jacobs got around to it or someone was fed up and did it themselves. |

Yes, it took a week to schedule the "special pick-up". I got rid of an old wine cooler, so I jus held it in my garage.

Well, what is wrong with putting out one chair on each trash day? Do they have to go as a set, LOL?

If they are in decent condition (clean and not in need of repair), have you considered donating them to Goodwill, Salvation Army, the Habitat Re-store, or any organization or church that helps needy families? Goodwill will pick up, though there may be a few days wait and they will tell you when they are coming.

You will find that if they are in fairly good condition, someone will come and pick them up and probably refurbished them. Or, you can place them at the end of your drive with a “free” sign on them and list them on Facebook marketplace.

There are websites where you can offer those items for free for villagers. Someone will find them useful.
