Call Fireplace Installers, they installed my gas line, pulled the county permit. Very reasonable and professional. Best solution for me!

In my opinion gas line not worth it. If you are snowbirds and you leave for a series of months, just empty your tank before you leave. Propane is cheap! Then just refill it when you come back! Ace hardware does refills

Both fuels are clean burning and used in high quality grills. We had a natural gas piped grill up north and used it constantly. Much cheaper than propane at our location. I loved not having to go for propane every couple of weeks. I also didn’t have to store tanks any more. Most were rusting outside near the pool. Not so good.

I needed a gas line ran 25 feet. I got 5 quotes. The least was 900.00 and the most was 2450.00. The job was exactly the same no matter who did it. I went with Torri plumbing. They were the best.

Is it within building code to run the gas line under concrete?

In my house, the natural gas header is directly above the staircase to the attic in the garage. I have one unused port on the header. I've been thinking about it as well. It is simple enough to run flex line across the attic to the lanai and put on a shut-off the same as the other installed lines. There are flex hookup lines from there to your appliances. The install is no different than hooking up a water heater or stove.

here is a 70' yellow flex for under $100

I keep my propane tank on the grill in the bird cage, good ventilation. When away for a extended time I cover the grill with a small tarp from home depot. I would not leave the tank in direct sun light or in the garage or a enclosed lanai. The tank has a pressure relief valve. If the pressure in the tank goes too high the relief valve will allow the tank to vent.

Is there gas in the street? TECO would run the gas line to the house. Kiley and Sons then ran the line to my grill and into the kitchen for a gas stove. If you then decide you want a generator in the future, you'd already have the gas available.

We had a gas line to our grill in the home we just sold. It was not cheap but worth every penny if you grill a lot. Grill cooks hotter. Make sure the gas line from the house is large enough to handle the grill.

Another thought about connecting to a natural gas line. Don't walk away from the grill and forget it's on. With a propane tank you will only empty the tank. Connected to a natural gas line you will have a endless supply of natural gas.

ACE hardware fills the tanks and they only charge you for what they put in
