I'll ask one the next time one stops by on their way to the next pond. Although, they never seem to be prone to conversation.

At our other homes we were very close to ponds, had bobcats, bear, coyotes. Never a gator walk past our house. Our cameras always picked up the activity.
We are not close to any water, yet 1am a gator was butting his snout on neighbors door. Cameras alerted, banging was loud enough to wake them. Yes animal control will come out at 1am, or you can just wait for gator to find another door to knock on. I know there was a small gator in Brownwood at the back of stores hiding in the bushes, guessing it traveled from the pond, near the bridge, or pond near the apartments. I just don’t get the butting on the door. In the past there have been a couple of times in TV that a gator came knocking. (search engine doesn’t bring posts up). Just wondering if they had a pet, or gator just was randomly wandering.

The only thing I found was a brief note in this article:
Why are so many alligators ‘knocking''' on our doors? – WFTV

Delicious! Make great wearable items. (Boots, belts, bikinis, gloves, hats, etc. Even creepy condoms for April fools day, but any day is good to fool April, eh.

We learned long ago that south's newcomers don't realize that gators are attracted to Food. (!)
Your pet food should never be set out on screened porch's and open air lanai's. It attracts gators. |
