Default Kindness, pass it on...

Last night my husband worked the evening shift at the Santiago gate.... A person from the Village of Alhambra brought him and the gate keeper across the way at the Alhambra gate a big cup of ice. Yes, the people here are wonderful!

I am on the lookout for someone we can pass a kindness along to today...

You just did pass it along. You made me smile and nod in affirmation at how people can be so nice with just a small gesture. ( :

I'm not sure I'd think of it as a kindness if someone brought me a cup of ice!

(sigh... we had to go back up North early)
Happy Easter everybody!!!!!!!

Default Yea!

What a nice gesture to see someone working in the heat and bring them a glass of ice! It shows kindness and empathy in my book.

It motivates me to go do something thoughtful for someone today, too. Thanks for sharing that, Kate

Default Have to give the ole boy an atta boy also....

This is not unusual for ole boy but while in restaurant Saturday, he asked waitress if he could have the ticket of this little fellow that hobbled in, struggling to sit down without falling, waitress told us that he and his wife use to come in but she had recently died....I also have witnessed many wonderful Villagers sharing their kindness...

Look up "kindness" in the dictionary and you'll see Kate and Jim's picture there!

There are many nice people in the world as I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.

My cousin who is the caretaken for both her parents was going away on vacation. My aunt, (her mother), needed to be put in a nursing home several months ago. My uncle is has developed a case of singles and has macular degeneration, (can only see shadows), was going to be home alone. He can do some things but is limited.

I volunteered to stay with him and drive to the nursing home to see his wife of seventy four years. He is 98 and still looking to take care of her as best he could.

His son and is grand-children did not go to the nursing home to pay an Easter visit to their grandmother.

He and she couldn't be more thankful I did this for him but it was an act that I derived more pleasure than he did.

I not looking for bouquets to be thrown at me because this is what you do for your family. It is the right thing to do. I derived great stisfaction seing my second mother and father happy for that day.

Feel this hug. The good things you have done will return to you ten fold. There is another person on this forum who sees her aunt every day in the nursing home. She is a treasure too. You both are reminders to us that kindness is the very best gift.

Lucky to be in the same town with the both of you!!!

Thank you for being you.
