Go to State Farm in Belleview and ask them about Citizens Insurance. They should be able to help you immensely.

Not sure if this is a reactive report or a predictive report, but the increase is getting noticed

Probably reactive because that (40%) is what my July 1 renewal is up over last year. Maybe the State of FL should have taken some of the $12 MILLION dollars they recently allocated for leasing jets to fly migrants all over the country to help fixing the insurance programs here. Divide that up among all the folks who are getting killed from insurance increases and it would have to help a bit. Watching the news last night there seems to be a major migrant shortage in FL to do the jobs the residents won't take (like picking fruits and vegetables) due mostly to the new laws just passed.

Default Can not believe a real agent said that

I am looking elsewhere for insurance. The first company I called for auto told me that I had a bargain. He told me that he could beat my price if I reduced my liability coverage from $250,000 to $25,000. He said that the average bodily injury claim in Florida is only about $15,000 so I was over-insured.

I am still looking!
There are certain assets that are protected by Florida law and judgement proof. All others can be garnished. If the licensed agent you are working with can not give you that information, RUN!

Huge % of liability claims in the US are in Florida. Auto, home and all personal liability should be based on your exposure.

That would be pennies per household...

What laws would those be?

We already have an agricultural visa program...

Thank you for the division effort, it is appreciated. Quite OBVIOUSLY it was hyperbole. That being said, $12million dollars can help a lot of people vs. chartering jets to send a few hundred(?)people to another state for a "show." WRT to insurance, which was the point of this topic, I'm sure The State of FL could have used the $12 million bucks to help those residents who may be in need of help not being able to afford insurance, as FEW DOLLARS as it may be, than to score political points. Well, maybe that's not true because this IS Florida and FLORIDA=POLITICS. I guess they could have invested that money into Season Senior passes for Disney or maybe not.

I don't want to turn this into a political topic. Google could be your friend. I am specifically referring to recent laws passed in FLORIDA and how it affects farms and other businesses that rely on immigrants in the state we live in.

The laws don't affect LEGAL immigrants at all...

Are you suggesting that businesses should hire ILLEGAL immigrants and drive down wages?
