I don't know if a 12-15" turtle qualifies as a GIANT! But that's nice he/she was saved.
I've caught a couple of big 'uns on O'Dell and brought 'em to a nearby pond

This past weekend, my daughter and her boyfriend stopped traffic to save a turtle crossing a road in Ocean City, NJ! Also, many years ago when my daughters were younger I tripped on a turtle running out of the house to get something. The turtle went spinning on its back, and I fell down. At Christmas that year my daughter sketched a picture of the turtle and gave that to me as a Christmas gift. On the back of the picture my other daughter wrote up the story about how I almost killed myself tripping on the turtle! Still have the picture and wonderful memories!! :-)
