I know house prices are crazy but to live on a swamp the prices should be discounted.

We absolutely love the wildlife preserve (glorified swamp) in our back yard. Our birdcage/pool abuts the swamp and with the podocarpus privacy hedges on either side of the birdcage and the preserve behind us we have total privacy. Other benefits include the incredibly diverse wildlife we see, the sounds of the birds chirping by day and the frogs (peepers) by night, and absolutely beautiful sunsets. The mosquitoes are only an issue around dusk if we are not in our birdcage, so we simply avoid late evening yard work. The homes across the street from us, with kissing lanai’s in their back yards, sell for much less all other things being equal.
