I agree with this part of your post, but do you have any scientific research that was NOT funded in any way by the U.S. Government?
U.S. Government is NOT the only one funding world wide research. U. S. institutions are NOT the only ones funding research on climate. Only a "few" individual(s) keep making these statements with such vehemence that one might guess they have been somehow traumatized to an extent they believe the world is conspiring against them.

$157 Trillion? Interesting? That BANKERS control the existence of life on earth. Money is more important than the whole of (possibly) human existence in the minds of certain individuals. How much would you pay to save your life, or your spouse, your kids, etc?
Wonder how "common" sense operates in the minds of some folks weighing dollars against lives? What would Jesus say to would be humanitarians? Save your money? You'll need it in heaven?

Can you name them? I tried to research it, but every research organization that said they were not U.S. funded actually received huge Government grants. For example, from AI:

"The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is a congressionally chartered, private institution that, while not receiving direct, annual congressional appropriations, relies heavily on U.S. federal government contracts and grants (approx. $200 million in 2023) to fund its studies and operations, alongside private philanthropic support."

Yes, they call it a "private" institution, but it receives $200 million per year from the Federal Government.

Another so-called non-government funded institution is the Standford Sustainability Program which is also funded by the Federal Government.

The U.S. is only responsible for 20 percent of global pollution, but 100 percent for our national debt. I would rather spend taxpayer dollars to eliminate the debt, which I think is a much more urgent risk to the existence of our country than global warming.

No, I can't name them. And, apparently, you can't either. Nearly every continent has countries, governments, institutions of learning and private companies and individuals studying more things than we can think of. Some receive financial assistance to help. Others do not.

Every country has a stake in pollution and clean up. Unfortunately, not all have the abilities to make much headway. And others, like China, don't care. We can only do what we can, and part of what we can do is educate where needed and pressure the rogue states where possible.
