Many of us are quite content for now. Much better that the whiners and crotchety complainers..

Thanks to Gold Wing Nut ( and his drone) we know what is going on below SR44.. and it makes sure I will never move there.. So sad for those buyers who were lied to. Costly houses, almost treble Bonds on the homes. Just like those at 466A who were told this is it , last chance to buy no more houses south of here.

So why should you care?

I agree that people are waaaay to eager to put their check in the hands of the developer and might not do any research about the area where they are so excited to move to. We too felt a little pressure when we were buying down here (McClure) we were given 2 hours (agent called in to put this house on hold) to either $&#@ or get off the pot because others would pull the trigger once we said no.

can you believe that we were sold the same story 10 years ago in the village of St. Charles -- one hour to decide -- or last chance dance -- someone oughta write a book

Most of the folks I have talked to below 44 are very happy. I think the whinners are in the minority....as it should be. We live above 44 and have two golf carts.....we use them most of the time but there are places to go where we need to use the car and actually never thought about whinning about it....what am I missing, should I be?

Every bit of shopping, golf, recreation, food and everything else is available to me. I have no complaints about how "The Developer" is proceeding with things. It's great down here. We love it.

Very well stated.

You are out of character....did you really write this?

I totally agree with your observations. Many false promises were made to the people who bought south of CR44. I believe that they really over estimated the state's willingness to bridge the turnpike. Having a bridge to a village with no residents shows progress. For your information - there is a group from fenny that is gathering information from folks like us. It looks like a class action in the making.

To do what?????

Yes, and your point is?

No one lives in Chitty Chatty yet and even if it did there are no ramps yet ready for traffic to cross. We're in McClure and we can't get over to Chitty Chatty because of the turnpike. We just get in our nice comfortable air conditioned car and go get our groceries.

Patience grasshopper, patience. Soon you'll be able to ride your golf cart all the way to Spanish Springs but for now just relax and think about the less fortunate people that are dealing with real issues like paying the rent and feeding their kids instead of that you can't go over the highway on your golf cart. I feel sorry for you.

we are in mcClure, also. it doesn't bother me that the bridge & plaza is taking a bit of time either. it wasn't a deal breaker to have to go to lake deaton, is only a few minutes drive in the car. we still chose to move here

When they moved south of 44, they changed their successful plan, jumped several miles to the south and then started to fill in the gap going south to north. Seems that if they started with a village immediately south of 44, built one bridge to Brownwood and kept with their previous adjacent village policy, these current isolation issues could have been avoided.

Presumably there was some reason for the change in policy. That said, eventually it will all be resolved.

so you don't get it -- the y did not own the adjacent land -- they just went ahead without adequate access and lied -- have since filled in some areas -- but as long as they can spin their tales -- they seem no hurry to build anything but houses...

I also remember being told that our village was going to be the end of the building (buy now cause there will be no more).

When Collier was being constructed, Hillsborough was being graded.......no way would a sales rep say Collier was the end.

that would be in the past tense...
