Default Golf cart distance to Sumter Landing

We're planning to move to TV in a few months. How many minutes does it take you to get to Sumter Landing from your village by golf cart? We want to live somewhere near Sumter Landing and we're wondering. Not that we're in a big hurry or anything, but it might make a difference. Thanks!

We live in Mallory Square and it takes us 5 - 7 minutes. The time will also depend on the speed of your golf cart. Ours isn't real fast.

We're in Belvedere and it takes 10 - 12 minutes I'd guess, never really timed it.

My house in Liberty Park is just about 2 miles from Sumter Landing. I know because I clocked it in the car as we walk there, and I like to know how far I walked.
With a 20MPH golf cart running flat out 2 miles would take 6 minutes. So I'd figure somewhere under 10 minutes.

We're retired!!!!!!!!

Take you time and enjoy the ride there is sooooo much to see along the way. Enjoy the fresh air, the ambiance of the Villages, your friends and neighbors.

I recall a bumper sticker on a vehicle in Chatham, MA, (Cape Cod.)....... "if you're in a hurry you're in the wrong place."

Enjoy the Villages and good luck with your new home.

Have not timed it but it seems like it is about 10 minutes by golf cart to Sumter Landing from Lynnhaven. This is with a golf cart that goes about 15 mph. There are some places you have to stop and/or slow down on the way like a tunnel and a number of intersections. Slower in the rain of course.

You're right, Frank2! I'm sure I'll enjoy tooling around in my golf cart...can't wait! I just remembered when I visited in April and we went to Spanish Springs for dinner, dancing, etc. ...that ride back to Largo (where we were staying) seemed long and kind of cold. We came home around 10:30 and it was like a ghost town!

I'd like to hear from anyone from Hadley or Duval, since that's where the new homes are.

Thanks for all the replies!

Frank2 .. You're right, we're retired and don't have to hurry anywhere! On the other hand, our memories are failing ... we may just realize that Happy Hour is almost over and we have to hurry over to LSL. :beer2:
Just kidding, I promise to drive slowly in TV!
