Default golf cart driving info

I'm looking at how to get to Spanish springs heading south on 441
I'm looking at google maps and all I see are cars and no golf carts, are carts accessible to 441 or is their a different trail or path for golf carts
Thank You

What is your starting point? Do you live in The Villages?

When driving south on US 441/27 when you pass The Villages Hospital you'll be turning right in about 1/2 a mile. After the hospital you'll continue and see a Chilis on your right, then pass through a red light marked Avenida Central, then pass a small lake on your right and you'll see a bridge crossing the Hwy 441. The bridge has a painted distressed appearance and unique looking since it's for golf carts only. Immediately after going under the bridge you'll turn right at the red light marked 'Main Street'. Ruby Tuesdays will be on your right and Panera's on your left, continue a couple of hundred yards on Main St. and you'll be at SS Square. Golf carts can not go on Hwy 441, not even street legal, but once you're on Main St. you will need to be aware of carts.

Really need a starting point. We have been carting all over to get a real feel for the place and using the Carting the Villages map which we bought and their website.
CTV-Home

However note that I don't think without a villages key card (only available to residents) that you can travel from outside the villages by Stonecrest. It is my understanding the golf cart trails are maintained by and for the use of the villages residents they are not maintained by the county, so no access is available to non residents. It is my understanding that you can't drive a golf cart on streets that have a speed limit over 35 even if they are street legal nor can you cross one. So if you are outside The Villages the answer would be you probably can't get to Spanish Springs by cart.

If you search on this site you will see many threads on the people from Stonecrest trying to get access via cart as they were misled when they bought by those promoting that area.

.
You can also use google maps to find all the cart paths. Go to "get directions" and click on the bicycle mode.

That works great for directions except you can legally go places on a bicycle you can't go with a golf cart. IE It tells you from north 441 to drive on 441 which you can't do with a golf cart.

Crossing 441 in a street legal cart is legal...
Crossing 441 in a regular cart at 175th Pl, will be legal within a couple months...

My version of google maps doesn't show that at all. It shows the bridge and cart paths near 441.

Yes, street legal can cross 441.

Crossing at 441/175th Pl (Spruce Creek South entrance), in a regular cart, has been approved by FDOT and Marion County. Once paperwork is completed and FDOT completes its work, it will be legal.

Yes, you may cross 441 in a registered street legal cart. We have one and do it all the time for Aldi, Lowe's, Sam's and other places. We always go with a light! We checked with our local sherrif's office before we purchased the cart and this is what we were told!!!

Default Map

I noticed when I was at Walgreen's the other day (across from Bob Evans), that they have a map for the paths. Might want to check that out.
