We saw one at Nancy Lopez this weekend.
The rig is an unbelievable array of potential accidents. Dangerous setup!! |

Absolutely idiotic idea. Someone will be killed by this development.

I decided to purchase a 2 seater cart. Four seaters take up more garage space, and I don't expect my guests like facing rearward while travelling - hard to converse.
On the occasions that I have visitors, I would rent another cart, or get this trailer - very cool. I wouldn't have to mess with my clubs they would stay in my 2 seater cart. Knowing that the brakes or suspension are not designed for max speed trailer tow, I would reduce my pace when prudent. Obviously we all should know that braking is to be done in a straight line before turning, whether towing or not (Driving 101). Made it all the way from Michigan towing ~ 4500 lb. single axle trailer w/o trailer brakes. I think that I don't tailgate, let off the accel pedal (can't call it gas pedal for many cars, trucks, and carts anymore....), and brake lightly and early seems to do the trick. However, I observe about 50% of the drivers on the road don't really know how to drive, and would be even more of a disaster if they tried to tow. Of course there are a lot of villagers that are terrible golf cart drivers, and would create crashes and injuries if they towed (especially people), but I think the percentage of bad village Golf cart drivers is less than the general population (maybe 20 - 25% shouldn't be driving) Last edited by pablo cruze; 11-22-2021 at 09:34 AM. I'm not sure how many have driven a car with a trailer such as a boat trailer. The trailer does not follow the same arc as the towing vehicle a turn you must swing wide. The golf cart paths are not designed for this. Reversing is a different adventure.

Joe Jackson from Lady Lake had this on his website this morning...
"Moving day in the Villages is always interesting. This is legit - I took the picture in the gas station parking lot right near my house..." |

Definitely would be interesting if people have not towed before.
We have 2 carts, a 4 seater and a 2 seater. When we have company, they usually love to drive so we go out in both carts. |

Too much tongue weight. Properly loaded trailer should target 10% of the load on the tongue, no more than 20% of trailer GVW. This trailer has the axle too far back; likely 50% of trailer weight is on the tongue. This will affect steering, as it takes weight off of the front axle on the golf cart. |
