How do you suggest they get to the golf courses?

You do realize that TV was designed to be a"a golf cart community", don't you?

It's not legal but I don't understand why it cannot be made so.

Why not allow golf carts to cross as pedestrians do? Push the button, wait for the walk signal and drive your cart across next to the crosswalk.

I used to live in Silver Lake and it drove me crazy that I would have to drive two miles in my golf cart to get the the CVS that was less than a quarter mile from my house.

It's crazy that the only way across is the bridge. When we had the hurricane and 2017 and the cart path was flooded, they allowed crossing at Wales Plaza. Why not allow it all the time?

Default Crossing 441

You are correct, that is the only legal crossing on 441 for any kind of golf cart.

I didn't think that was legal but I saw someone do it this afternoon (and I did not see a plate on the back of the cart so it did not appear to be street legal).

Seeing that cart surrounded by all those cars -- that is a busy intersection -- gave me the creeps.

Default Atomic Cart

Not even atomic is legal to cross there.

I'm always amazed at how many people are willing to break the law. Maybe he REALLY need McDonald's!

Low Speed Vehicles are not allowed to be on (or even cross) roads that have a speed limit over 35MPH.

Wrong.
It's legal to cross in an LSV.

Given that every state I've ever been to requires powered boats (even 10' Jon boats) and snowmobiles, to be registered and to have that registration prominently displayed, I was really surprised to learn that the same doesn't apply to golf carts in Florida.

I think the guy who got killed on 441 was driving an Atomic or something similar.

Why are you trying to mess with paradise? Do you even own a golf cart?

It is a bit odd that someone can cross nearly any street or highway in a motorized wheelchair, but not in a golf cart?

Insane people.

I purposely avoid driving the cart in the fray of regular vehicular traffic.
One good clip and you are off the road and into lala land.

Take an hour one day and watch how people drive.
Those who put themselves into the point of extremis are the ones who wind up in an accident.

Myself, I choose my routes to stay away from cars.

The bigger peril, all the trucks with the long trailers. I watched one ( definitely needed maintenance) as the truck pulled it the trailer was drifting into the multimodal here on Morse.

Not cool.

I commend the layout in the southern parts (below 466) here where the GC lanes are off the vehicle roads. Much safer
