Default Golf "carts" or Golf "cars?"

When we first moved here, four years ago, the Villages employees that we dealt with all called them golf "cars." We heard that alot for about a year. I personally could never weave that into my volcabulary. Now, I don't think I hear anybody, at all, use the term golf "car". It is as it always has been, golf "carts." I think maybe the Villages was attempting to convey the subconscious notion that they are like real adult cars only smaller. The notion didn't catch on. It, obiously, is no big deal, just an observation for fun. ;D

Oh the answer is just so obvious. Golf carts are those 36 volt electric ones that are half way used up when they are in front of you. Golf cars are gas and GO FAST around the slow ones LMAO
