Golf carts are a lot better site and only short term compared to dogs dumping at pool and post box areas

St Charles today. Two carts in one yard with for sale signs. Looked like a used cart lot. Some always push the minor exception window.

When we lived in NC, a bunch of old busy body's, formed "the snoop squad", they would snoop around people's houses when no one was home & give complaints to the POA for any violation--was one reason we vowed to never live in any community governed by POA/HOA or condo association

"The Community Standards Deed Compliance Division is entirely complaint driven.""

Correct but they have little enforcement powers in reality, all they do is write the homeowner a letter.

If they still don't comply they tell you to take them to court.

For all of you that think filing complaints you remain anonymous, think again, anyone can find out who it is.

Stop being pansies, go over to your neighbors house say hello have a beer work it out.

I agree with you. That was my point but still don't like 6' tall flamingos - or short ones.

As for the Church's I couldn't say with any direct knowledge since I don't attend them but I assume they should as do Synagogues (and Mosques).

So what's the big deal if I occasionally park mine in my yard, on it's roof?

Again, the clash of cultures and child raising. In your face versus a turn in to the rules committee. It makes both sides see red when the others do it. But ONE IS effective. If one is reported to the deeds violation folks you are fined. UNTIL the nasty thing is changed or removed.Or the house is sold. It is a legal thing, that fine.

When you tell someone they are stupid, and unaware and rule breakers, they are never gonna like you again and it will be unpleasant forever between the two of you. Let them guess, I say, who dropped the dime. Use the phone.

On a more serious note: I do agree, it's not pretty but is a "cart for sale" in a driveway rather than a lawn the same or worse or better? Or 12 carts PARKED on a front lawn for a Mahjong game? What about "Estate Sale" or "Garage Sale" or "Moving Sale" signs (with or without balloons) on every corner in the neighborhood of one of those sales? Or large religious symbols on holidays stuck in lawns for weeks at a time (UH OH - religion!) or 6' high Flamingo's .... or or or or.
One of the reasons I moved here was not see this stuff on peoples lawns which in my opinion detracts from the beauty of this place. Sadly many ignore deed restrictions and dont care about those that adhere to them. Nothing wrong with calling Community Standards...I would

Going to Community Standards for this is a huge waste of time. By the time you get through the process (can easily take months) the cart will most likely be sold and gone. Same with yard sales, homes for sale by owner, and all the other short term annoyances for some, all that stuff will be over long before Community Standards is effective. Now, back to that lamp post

Most everyone here has LOT of time on their hands which is why it is the "Largest RETIREMENT community in the US." [emoji16]

While I don't agree with MOST of the picyune stuff we all b1tch about we all did sign the same (or similar) DEED RESTRICTION agreement that we are supposed to abide by as happens in most communities like this. They are in place for a reason.

You have the opportunity to decide but DO NOT decide based on the postings on ANY TYPE FORUM ANYWHERE. They generally do not reflect the views of the vast majority of residents just a small bunch of grumpy opinionated old(ish) folks like myself. I've been here a year and despite this forum I love it, warts and all. There are some things I don't like (6' flamingos [emoji2]) but live with it.
