Default Why Don't You Like Eating Outside?

We sat outside Habeneros tonight and it was so delightful!! We were wondering why everyone was sitting inside in the cold a/c and it felt so refreshing to be sitting outside in the nice breeze. Are we missing something? We also can't understand why so many people enclose their lania???

I like eating outside. I did not enclose my lanai. Live and let live. If everyone decided to eat outside we would never get a table.

Indeed! I like eating on a covered patio as long as the temp is below 80 and it's not muggy. Otherwise, I enjoy the A/C.

My back lanai was enclosed when I moved in, but in 8 years I've never once sat on my screened front porch. I'm that rare Floridian, a sun avoider!

I didn't like my preachy response and changed it. I think a lot of us avoid the sun for most of the year.

I love to eat outside but that's where all the smokers go to eat. Since I quit smoking based on a revulsion for the smell of the smoke and smoke itself, I'd rather eat inside except at my own home.

I've eaten outside at several of the country clubs and never noticed anyone smoking. They allow that?

check the tables ash trays are there for decoration--City Fire and Square one are the worst for non-smokers--the area reeks
we tried the above when we first moved to TV and didn't know any better

I never ate outside at those places and didn't notice ash trays at the CC's, but that doesn't mean they weren't there. May have been oblivious to it and enjoying the company instead. But I definitely would have noticed someone smoking. Is this also the case at the CC's, that smoking is allowed, or just at specific restaurants?

Eat outside all the time even it is not hot and muggy.

Default I like inside

I avoid the sun. I don't like to be hot. I don't enjoy the sometimes loudness of being outside. I don't like the car fumes going by.

Everyone is different, live and let live, but as for me, I'm going to be inside.

What baffles me is law states non smoking in restaurants.

Is the out door dining area considered part of the restaurant?

RJ Reynolds added to my food isn't the spice of my choice

We have a "birdcage" outside our lanai, that fortunately is in the shade in the afternoon. We love to eat out there and watch the birds at our feeders. We eat outside at restaurants if we don't have to deal with smokers.

Bugs, humidity, rainstorms, wind, sweat, but that's just me.

I would have thought by now that smoking at an outdoor dining area in Florida would have been prohibited as it is in many other states. In Illinois when the outdoor ban went into effect many smokers quit going, but their seats were taken by those who could finally enjoy eating outside without smoke.
