I was the same way a few months ago. So frustrated that I was going to give the game up. Went to Steve Wresh at the Continental cc on rt 44. He is great. Doesn't try to revamp your entire swing or do something you are not physically capable. He us always having special deals. Now I'm having so much fun. I can even draw the ball!

Another vote for Continental CC on 44. Sandra is great too. Google “Golf Your Best Inc”

Stephanie at the golf academy is a great instructor. First encounter with her was at the short game clinic. Liked her so much that a friend and I signed up for private lessons back to back so we could go together for the full hour. We registered for 4 lessons which we could schedule anytime. This was nice cause we could take our time practicing what we learned then schedule when we felt ready to move on. Learned a lot and now that I know what I’m doing I can enjoy the game. I still have the notes she sent after each lesson to remind me of what I need to focus on. Lessons were on sale at the time and well worth the money spent. Even pre-sale they would have been worth the money.

I have heard the Tom gets too technical and really cannot relate to the average Village golfer.

I've had two rotator cuff surgeries over the years, swinging a golf club doesn't affect me... it's just " Some days are diamonds, and some days are rocks.....(Tom Petty)

Any thoughts on couples instruction?

If your serious about lessons and don’t mind a little trip Greg Coffin’s Peak Performance school is great for a cool getaway. Greg will put together one or two day clinics that work on fundamentals or whatever part of your game you need. I prefer one on one for a few hours rather than one hour lessons( I am a beginner). Strong coaching skills and practical guides. Not in The Villages but worth the trip. Good Luck!

I completely agree.

We have a lot of natural coordination and our bodies can do amazing activities (like hit a golf ball) if we give ourselves a chance.

If and when my golf swing is not working, I practice simple shots with a 1/2 or 3/4 swing and just let my natural coordination figure out what it wants to do.

So how do we know a person has natural coordination? Because they inherited it from the parents.

And how do we know their parents and ancestors had natural coordination? Because their parents survived long enough to have children. If our ancestors did not have natural coordination, they would have been killed in battle or they would have starved because they were not able to hunt animals effectively.

Default Golf instructor

Sabrie Boothe at Eagle Ridge is excellent. 516-769-1608 Very simple approach to the swing. Works with what you have. It's nice to have a female instructor

Not from me. He has a standard lesson with videos to show you how professional women golfers swing the club.

Maria at Sarasota is very good. She pleased my wife which is not easy to do!

I will be taking a lesson from her in the Spring.
