Army,
We really enjoyed it. We had 10 in our class and there were four instructors so we all got a lot of attention. I was going to use one of Steve's jokes about doing wind sprints up and down the driving range but thought someone might think I was serious. I suppose we should mention how thorough they are in checking out your clubs and offering modifications that are needed. They will make a club for you for a good price but they did modifications to our clubs without charge.

GG, TEN strokes? Mr. Judy told me to pick up after 2 times par. Maybe he's just trying to speed me up? Maybe it would be midnight if I picked up after 10 strokes on every hole? BTW, I find that if I just sit in the golf cart and write down "6" for each hole the game goes a lot faster.

Yesterday My husband and I played golf with two men and a tag along boy of about nine. They were assigned to our tee time but asked if they could play back of us and were told no, that there were definite tee times. The boy went up on the tee with the men and was playing with a club and a ball in a hockey like manner, moving around behind the person swinging, not close, but distracting. On the green he joined the group doing the same thing, moving about and jumping during the putting. The man who was the host was a four year house owner snowbird and played frequently.

They paid three dollars for the boy to be an observer. The child seemed disappointed he couldn't play.

Army Guy, never had a problem playing with two guys. I have been golfing TV for 7 years so maybe the problem is YOU. Check for golf courses outside TV you might find what you are looking for.

That's just wrong regardless of the circumstances.

Just because a man loves to golf with the woman he loves doesn't mean he has a problem. There are times I prefer to play with just my husband - usually early in the season, before I really get my game going. (A situation soon to go away by moving to TV). Just because you aren't made uncomfortable, doesn't mean someone who does has "a problem."

I'm not sure you meant to make your message sound harsh - but putting the word "you" in all caps in the equivalent of getting in someone's face. Given Army's choice of career, I'm sure he can handle it - but this forum is meant to be helpful - not deprecating.

Kate

PS - I don't think I've said it before - but Army guy, I too thank you for your service.

Well said Kate.

Thank you Army Guy...

Maybe a troll is here for a bit? Most folks are friendly here.

Duke so you have been playing golf for all of 7 years. Perhaps after playing a little longer you will learn that golf is a gentlemans game. My guess is that Army Guy could take you to school on the course since it is a gentlemans game.

Oh the poor homeowner. Probably houseguests. Probably in laws. What's a Villager to do? GG, you could walk away when the game was over, but he was stuck with them.

First, thank-you all for your thanks. It is just what I do, as it is all I have ever wanted to do. I believe totally in this country, what it stands for and those who created it and have died to keep the dream alive, and especially the freedom we have here. Having lived and served pretty much all over the world, the USA is definitely the best place to live hands down. As I said when I was quizzed by an Army Board to get my scholarship, they asked why do you want to be in the Army, and my answer then as it is now, is, "It is my duty to serve and possibly die for this great nation to secure the freedom we have now and will continue to have forever!"

Duke, it is not "a problem" it is just that unless my wife really knows someome she is uncomfortable playing around them cause she feels like they are watching her, and she gets afraid to mess up, etc. Just typical feelings that we all have felt time to time. She just wants to do good and not mess up in front of strangers. When we play with people we know, she is fine.

Army Guy
