An earlier poster had mentioned a specific entertainment lineup and I just gave my honest opinion about that lineup. Some others posted that the entertainment mentioned was pretty much standard fare for TV. I would think that in a place as big as TV that there would be a good variety of entertainment and something for everyone. I apologize if I came across as a bit presumptuous that was certainly not my intention. |

Thanks. Right now, we're planning a visit for early/mid January. I am really hoping that things will be more back to normal by then.

I lOVE the sounds of people living and enjoying life to the fullest. I just want to be able to "turn off" that sound by not living near by. I prefer to hop in my golf cart and drive home, away from those lovely sounds. But.......that's just me.

TooJays emerged from Chapter 11 and was sold. The new owners decline to purchase the stores that were under performing. I don't know why they opened in Ft. Lauderdale. That area has real Jewish delis that are much better then TooJays.

While it might not be written as one it sure SOUNDS like a "farewell." They still have to pay rent and insurance and like most restaurants around here they have outside seating and can still serve some inside and can now open their bar and have less employees. While I do feel sorry for them my first (and final) experience there was horrendous so I won't miss them.

The Villages is not the demographics that would support something like a Faneuil Hall or the population diversity Boston area has to offer. Whereas Boston has constant tourism 12 months a year. We have golf and loose about 40% of out population for 8 months.

It might really suck to be 80+ living in the villages currently, because the new kids on the block want to hear the New Kids on the Block. But it's coming whether they like it or not. And some day, MY generation will be the 80-year-olds whining about why things can't stay perfect, like how it was when WE moved in 30 years ago. |
