Default Looking for a facility

Not sure if it exists, I've been asked to do a dinner party and as life has it the current kitchen is far too small. Are there any rec centers or whatever in TV that we could obtain kitchen (and dining space) from?

Have the person requesting your services to find a rec center available

The dining space is no problem, but I don't think they will actually allow you to cook the food, only warm it. I would suggest that you visit a few rec centers to find out what they offer. Note that there are regional rec centers and village rec centers.

You cannot cook food in any rec center. Warming oven only is available

There are several restaurants that have rooms for parties, and some of these may work depending on the size of the guest list. If you are limited to inside the bubble (aka golf cart accessible) try some of the restaurants around the squares.

If any of the guests has a bigger facility, you could do it at their house.

Learning center cooking teachers bring their own induction burners for cooking at the recreation centers and prepare the food in the rooms.

If you hire caterers, they likely will just bring their own warming trays.

Use your kitchen and lanai like everyone else does or change your attitude and have it catered.

The question was answered by the first response, I.e. any rec center. What was needed was “kitchen and dinning space”.

By "kitchen" do you mean full service, stove? Or do you mean the usual rec center kitchens with microwaves, a coffee pot, counter space, fridge/freezer, and outlets where you can plug in burners?

If you mean stove, I think Hacienda used to have that but they might have removed the stove for safety purposes years ago. They used to provide catering services, that's why I know that they at least "did" have that.

Most of the rec center kitchens have warming ovens though.

You'd need to check the individual rec center and ask them. And as long as you're a Villager, you can ask if they can accommodate a party that you are hosting.

Hacienda did host a memorial for a neighbor who lost her husband, and family and friends from all over the country came. So it's definitely not reserved for Villagers only, I think just the host has to be a Villager.

I feel the frustration of the OP. They agreed to host a party for some people. Their own house can't accommodate the guest list. They didn't agree to pay to have it catered, they didn't agree to buy all their guests dinner at a restaurant. In other words, they agreed to accommodate the cooking themselves. Telling them to have it catered - is telling them to do something that they didn't already agree to do.

It's a simple question - "is there a rec center able to accommodate this particular need?"

My answer was - there might be, depending on how detailed that kitchen needs to be.

Other answers were "we won't even try to answer your question but instead will tell you to do other things."

And then when the OP expressed frustration from two pages of people answering a question he didn't ask - people got nasty at him.

Maybe next time answer the question being asked, OR ask for more details so you can answer the question, if you're not able to answer the question based on limited information provided.

There is no facility in The Villages you can rent that has a full kitchen that you can use to prepare and cook a full meal.

If you prepared meal elsewhere and wanted to use a rec center to serve that dinner to your invited guests, be aware that you cannot serve alcohol at any event unless you are licensed and insured. Something to remember if you cook at home and bring to the venue. BYOB is Ok, and we have brought in food and soft drinks for parties. We've also used caterers to prepare food, bring it in, and serve it. For drinks, BYOB, or use licensed caterer.

What I have done for a small dinner party is ask one of my friends to use their home and kitchen for a dinner party. I prepped and cooked a big meal at friends kitchen and served our guests. 16 people total.
