Default Guest pass and amenities fee

I will be coming down for a month long visit in the next few months to check everything out. I noticed most of the rentals said you could get a Guest Pass for $50, that includes use of golf courses and other things. I have also read about the amenities fees that all residents pay. My question is are these the same thing or different things? If I am there for a month do I need to pay both? Is what is covered to be able to do with a guest pass the same as is covered by amenities fees? Just want to be able to experience as much as I can when there so wondering if I need both, have to have both, just need one, etc. Thanks for any info.

Amenities are paid monthly by the owners listed on the deed. Guess pass is free, (no sports pools, some classes) resident pass I’d is $50. Gives you the same amenities as a resident.

Basically, every home owner pays a monthly amenity fee, which goes towards paying for all the activities and facilities offered through out The Villages. They get a Villagers ID, which grants them access to use all of activities and sports facilities offered. When that home owner rents their home to someone, they can "transfer" their amenity rights to the renter. That "transfer" cost $50 and the home owner has to surrender their Villages ID that was issued for their home until the rental is completed. At that time, the Villages ID reverts back to the original home owner. So during your rental, you will have complete access to everything that is available, just like you are the home owner. That includes all 3 types of swimming pools - Family, Adult, and Sports.

This is different than a typical Guest Pass that a home owner can get for their temporary visitors. A Guest Pass is free and allows the "guest" to use most, but not all of the things in The Villages. For example, that allows entrance to only the Family or Adult pools. With a Guest Pass, the home owner retains their Villages ID and they can accompany their visitors in the desired activity.
