Perhaps I am under the wrong impression that community watch is more than watching for weeds and bad lawns.

Isn't there a camera at all gates to capture all who enter the neighborhoods? If I would see something unusual, such as an off hour high wheel truck cruising the neighborhood, it kind of gets my attention. Just giving an example of keeping aware of the unusual.
