Default Havana Country Club Restaurant

I was told that the new Havana restaurant and bar will be operated by The Villages and not by the operators of Hacianda Hills and Tierra Del Sol as previously announced by The Villages. The Villages now operates Cane Garden and I feel they do a great job as many others must feel since they are always busy.

I believe that you can tell the difference in the quality of people that work there because they receive benefits from The Villages as well as their children can attend The Villages Carter Schools and tend to stay longer because of the benefits. Many of the people who work at Cane Garden have been there for many years. The bartenders have all been there for some time.

Also from what I understand is that the operators of Glenview CC restaurant also operate Mallory Hill CC.

Many of the people who have lived here for a long time (10 years and more) have said that the restaurants were better when The Villages operated them.

Indy, I'm very happy to hear that The Villages is going to operate The Havana Rest. We've been to Terr Del Sole (did not like the food at all!) and to Hacienda (it was just OK)
But Cane Garden has wonderful food. In my opinion you can really tell the difference. Very happy about Havana because that's right near where we live. Thanks for the info.

Caine Garden is the ONLY restaurant I avoid like the plague! The Manager/Hostess there, a blond in her 40s/50s is as nasty as she can be most of the time. I have been there three times and on all occasions she has been difficult to deal with. In fact, my whole neighborhood feels the same way about Caine Garden.

We prefer Glenview and Mallory to Caine Garden. At least if you have a group of people who want to celebrate a birthday or anniversary dinner, they will cooperate and work with you to get the seating arranged. Caine Garden's hostess/manager refused to work with us after making us wait 45 minutes for seating for 14. When we finally said seating was ready, it was separate tables. She refused to do anything else and by then it was too late to go anywhere else. Our group has NOT been there since. I went back twice with other friends and tried to see if it was a single incident. Well, it wasn't. Nasty was just the same and the experience was nerve wracking.

Apparently you folks have had much better luck. Hope it continues.

Also, the developer will likely sell the new restaurant to the highest bidder when it suits his financial plan. He doesn't keep them all that long.
