Been here for 12 years. If you drive a lot in the round a bouts you may want to rotate tires every 5k miles and check your front end alignment. He's right. Even low speed. Just good advise. You'll be surprised on your alignment.

Default You know....

When I get on TOTV, I really need to invest in a good bullet proof vest...
You know that you are shooting the messenger AGAIN....

I don't know whether Tire Round-up was pulling my leg, but he sounded very sincere and believable....

You guys are amazing!!!!....Please don't take that as a compliment!

I am sorry to say that "sincere" and "believable" are not the same as true. I just don't see how it can be true.

I'd suggest you find another tire store.

Ok, let's think this through First you turn to the right entering the RB. So In theory this puts pressure left then right on the outside of the right side tires and inside on the left side tires. As we travel through the RB weigh shift if we are going straight through the RB. The action reverse the load on the tires and apply pressure on the right side inner tires and outside of the left tires. Factors that could affect single tire. Low air pressure (which most vehicles running around the villages have due to owner neglect.). Another factor could be speed. Some think they are competing in 24 hours of LeMans while other like turtle crossing the road. Then there the curb banging and 4 wheel alignment. Every look under your car and see the small suspension parts. it don't take much to knock wheel alignment or bend links which effect tire were. And the last some go around and around which would be different wear pattern also.

Oh come on. Nobody is shooting the messenger here. It's the tire store that's under fire. I appreciate you letting us know what they said.

There are three things that TV circles do for sure:

1. Waste rubber
2. Waste gas
3. Waste time.

None of these 3 things are true! Especially the gas and time.

If you want some facts, read this from the Federal Highway Administration

Never mind - can't get diagram to look right - posting seems to remove blanks.

Below is a diagram as to why I don't believe this. This is an approximation of a roundabout circle where you are going straight through. Notice that there are 2 right turns and 2 left turns so it should be a wash.

Circles keep traffic moving and if there should be an accident it will only be a sideswipe not a fatal T-bone crash. You also aren't wasting gas or time setting at a red light. The worst intersections are 4 way stops which this also eliminates.
