Default Town Square Entertainment

Just curious.

I view the two town squares via the web-cams. I may definitely be wrong on this but it seems to me that Spanish Springs seems to have a much larger audience for the shows than LSL.

Am I just seeing this due to "timing" or do you think it is true? If true any idea as to why?

I don't think it's true. I think that the camera angles may be a part of the difference. For example at Lake Sumter Landing, there is an area to the left, outside the view of the camera, where many people sit.

It's probably decieving because SS is much smaller than LSL where people are more spread out. Of course it depends on who is playing that night.

I think it might be true. S.S. crowd is several years older than S.L.S. They probably listen more to the music instead of hanging out in all the bars like they do in SLS.

Huh??? And what the heck is SLS?

Been to both many, many times this year. It all depends on the performer. Rocky has just as many people at LSL as they do at SS. But then again maybe I was drunk after being in the bar at SLS, I mean LSL

But I've seen both of them be like ghost towns if the performer is not that popular.

And, vendor nites make the squares LOOK more crowded.

I guess what difference does it make?

Not sure if this worked but, I 'snagged' a capture from Google maps TO SCALE of SS & LSL - SS looks bigger....

Sumter Landing for singles equals SLS

As mentioned, the two hour happy hour at Spanish Springs might be a factor, and also, since the squares are open to non-residents, SS is closer for those who do not live in the The Villages. Just a thought...I don't really know. We don't go to either one all that often. Going to LSL tonight, if the rain holds off!!

When I said SS was smaller I meant the actual square or dancing and seating area. There is no way that SS is larger. That is why when political candidates that draw a lot of people here, is always held in LSL.
