That might work better than complaining on TOTV, just a thought.
We did talk to the manager when asked for our money back. He gladly gave us our money back and agreed with us. He told us that the sound was dictated by the movie release / distributer.

Movie theaters should have a headphone jack on the seats like they have on airplanes. The movie should start on time, and anyone who uses a cell phone should be removed immediately with no warning. Then, I may decide to go to a theater again.

Yes I can’t hear anything with the volume so high. I stopped going to the movies because of it. My husband has to take out his hearing aids so he won’t go either.

Not true. We attended a film, were the only two in the theater, asked for the volume to be reduced three times until we could stay there. Someone in the control room was able to turn it down.

Personally, I don't believe that the volume can be dictated by the movie distributor in open theaters, where the acoustics can vary greatly. Surely, the movie theater can control the volume if they want to. The only people who can dictate the volume would be the theater manager or the theater owners, not the movie distributor. When you rent a movie at home, you can control the volume.

My hearing is fine and I don’t want to ruin it.
Who controls the volume at the movies there? Does anyone else have a problem with it?
I used to play in a band. The trick with using Kleenex (or toilet paper) as earplugs is to get it soaking wet! Then roll it into 2 little balls and stick it in your ears (but not too deep!).

My wife and I go to Old Mill often and no, we don’t find the volume too loud. We go to other theaters in the Ocala area as well and the volume there to be the same.

I recently went to see Golda, the sound was fine.
It’s like too hot or too cold. You can’t please everyone.

I call it making suggestions so that our lovely Village life is even better. You call it complaining.

We go weekly, no issues with volume. I have normal hearing and husband uses hearing aids.

Kleenex is for your nose. It is not effective for reducing loud sounds and should never be used for that purpose.
If someone is in a position where they need hearing protection, use the right things. Not tissues.
