I am neither a Morse lover nor a Morse hater.
I am a Morse admirer.
A friend of mine is the nephew of the man who originally owned much of the land which is now The Villages. He was a farmer and a rancher whose family was very influential in Sumter County.
As wealthy and influential as he might have been, he did not have the VISION for the use of the land that the Schwartz/Morse family did.
As I said, I admire the family. I might wish I could have done something similar except for the fact that I am not much motivated by money and I had more fun in the career that I had than I would have had by being in land development.
Having said all that, you might want to look at the web site
The Villages Family Company Company Profile - Located in The Villages, FL - H. Gary Morse, Mark G. Morse, John F. Wise which should have much of the information you are looking for. It even has a "connection" feature which shows how various entities are interconnected by ownerships, directorships and other connections.
It also has multiple generations of the Morse family listed.
Happy hunting.
