Was by the new Publix the other day looked like some site work going on to the west of the shopping center. If anything would think a stand alone store as the other stores seem way to small. Would like to see it but there goes my budget !

I went on Home Goods Store locator. They showed where stores were and where they are coming in Florida. It showed several, but none in the Villages.
Here is the link.

What is it that makes all those imports from China so attractive at Home Goods?

Look at their incredible selection of table lamps, and their prices mostly under $50, and then go and see the pathetic selection of 2 of those same lamps at the lighting store here, for $200 each.

Anybody in their right mind would drive 36 miles to Home Goods-Marshalls and come home with a whole roomful of accessories and small furnishings for about $300.

It's much more fun to believe a rumor than to believe the Home Goods website!

I think one of the reasons is that there is always something different there, you will rarely find the same thing everyday. That is why we go there, always different and usually unique. Even if you don't buy anything, it is fun to just look.

Something like Sears or Harbor Freight for men...they love to see the tools. Now do you understand, Bogie

Maybe this is why we heard the rumor a few months ago that Marshall's was going into the new Publix plaza. They are owned by the same company as Home Goods. Maybe they got the two stores confused......or, could both be going in that plaza?
