Default Home Outside Security Cameras

I would like advice on installing outside security cameras (unobtrusive).
Approximate cost, & reliable contractor(s).

Thank You

I use Eufy cams. Various configurations (solar, rechargeable, etc.). My favorite part is I can access/view them anywhere via internet, and there are ZERO ongoing or recurring monthly or annual charges for doing so.

Inexpensive Wyze plug in.

A little more Ring solar.

A lot more full AV install.

Depends on your needs....

I have a Eufy. Just go to Amazon and check the current prices. Easy to install, but you may need to purchase the hardware to install it on the gutter, another $20. I get an alert on my I-phone when someone or animal triggers it, and I set the trigger area. I can then, even from another country, talk to the person, or set off an alarm, or turn on a light.

We use SimpliSafe. Easy to self install. Buy as much as you need. Cameras, doorbells, entry sensors, glass break and motion sensors. Also smoke, CO2 and water sensors.

Multiple packages (and customized packages) available.

Can be monitored (different levels) from $9.99(self monitored, no 24/7 monitoring or emergency dispatch), $22.99, which does includes emergency dispatch, to $32.99/month, which includes emergency dispatch and intruder intervention (the alarm will alert the intruder that the police have been called) depending on which monitor level you want.

All levels include remote self video monitoring and arm/disarm control via your smart phone.

We've been -very- satisfied with the service.

A pretty complete package can be bought for around $250. It took about 2-3 hours to install and set up our system.

We also have a Eufy front door deadbolt lock that is also smartphone controlled.

What I can't figure out is that if anyone wants to break in your house with the intent of
doing harm, aren't they aware of the surveillance devices that are used and available today??

Makes me wonder how/why anyone would attempt this action.

Based on the number of villagers arrested each month, I would say common sense is not their strong suit.

I use Wyze cams here (6) and in at my other home (12). The nice thing is easily adding a cam or moving them as needed. All four of my kids also started using Wyze at their homes. Alerts you and saves all movement, you can listen or talk. Cams have come along way

Without an ongoing WYZE subscription, you are only going to get 12 seconds video every 5 minutes. Or fiddle with SD cards. I have several of these. Also if internet is down they can't get authentication and will stall.

My choice is Tapo C104 and C206.

IMO Eufy are the best options for a private residence. Absolutely no wires required, battery powered which need replacement every year. No contractor required. $80-$100 each camera. Very easy for home owner to do themselves
