Default Home Sprinklers

I watched the video earlier this week of the house fire in Hadley. This has got me to thinking it might not be a bad idea to have sprinklers installed in our house, especially the garage. Has anyone else considered this? Has anyone had it done? It would be much easier to have it done while house is under construction, but is still an option. If you have had it done, who did you use?

Installing them after a home is built would be a plumbing nightmare and very expensive. The water damage negates the thought .... for me. Insurance will pay for the damage, and if sprinklers went off, damage would still be high .... and insurance would likely pay. Seems like no gain for all of the issues and expense.
