Default Hometown Halloween at Brownwood

Did anyone go to the Hometown Halloween at Brownwood this weekend?

What was your experience there?

It appeared to be most crowded Saturday night, probably because of Relic playing. Legal parking with a cart was pretty easy. There was a lot of vendors and a haunted tent. Nowhere near as crowded as the Strawberry Festival a few years ago.

Very fun event, good band. Well attended but not as crowded as some other events.

Great people watching, some of the costumes were amazing.

Drove up there around 630 and hit every parking lot looking for a spot for a car. This was our 1st Halloween here and was surprised it was so crowded. After 15 minutes we gave up

You can't give up. keep circulating through the lots. Then follow some early-birds back to their car.

If you think that was bad wait until the Christmas Tree Lighting event. We parked in the Publix parking lot and walked over and we were very early. Once was enough.

Took the kids and grandkids. Everyone had a great time! Got there about 4:30. Crowded but found decent parking. I think it helped that it was spread out over many hours. Lines weren't too long. Weather was perfect!

We went at two on Saturday for lunch. It was easy, close parking in cart. Ate, walked around for awhile, enjoyed seeing the kids trunk and treating, then sat in the shady hallway behind the Kona Ice truck until we heard Relic starting up. Walked over there and got seats in the top row of the bleacher and stayed for two sets while enjoying Margaritas. Great band and view of the costumed crowds as they arrived. My hubby was especially impressed with Dolly Parton, lol. We had a good time, but were happy to leave at 7 to go home and watch the World Series game two. Go Dodgers!
