Sadly, most people assume that the parking at the last house is public, i.e., overflow, parking in the CVs. To make matters worse, if you complain to TV, they will usually just add stripes and make it overflow. It really is a lose-lose.

I think your best bet is a gentle note explaining how difficult it is for you to back out of your driveway. Of course, I'm sure at least one will suggest you back up to the corner and turn from there, which is what a lot are forced to do in the other villa areas. Stinks but ......

Hey army guy
I think I would back my car in to that area when it is empty and leave my drive empty.

Default driveway restrictions

When they park in this dead end area in front of my villa, it makes it very difficult for us to back out of our driveway without hitting them. I don't want to cause ill feelings by reporting them and sometimes don't know who the car belongs to, but it is impacting us. So we where thinking is there a way we can get them to put up a no parking sign there.

Thanks for your help. Army Guy
what are the restrictions on expanding the driveways in villas? Is it possible to make the driveway ~5 feet wide so that two cars could park in the driveway at the same time?

twalker, I am not 100% sure. But I believe the answer is no from what I read in the cov. for CYVs. That is why we can not do pavers, designed concrete, etc. All CYVs are suppose to look the same except for the landscaping.

Redwitch, I seriously do not see how they can mark for parking. If you measure the road as we have you will find it is not a standard width of a normal road. It is much narrower. When people park in that area, they are actually parking in the middle of the street, as there is no shoulder area.
